Open in December 2001, 7 rue Froissart is a gallery in the
Marais dedicated to decorative Arts and photography, international
artists and designers are invited to show their work around a geographical
theme.
The themes are inspired by travel, real or imaginary : East wind,
Paris Cairo, Asia-Chic, Le Grand Nord and Italy-dolce vita.
Photography, lighting, limited edition objects
and collectible glass complement each other in a different
display at every exhibition.
Bénédicte Siroux, founder of 7 rue Froissart, opened
Furniture of the XXth Century in New York with Michael
Steinberg in the 80s, a showcase for French designers Andrée
Putman (Ecart), Bonetti & Garouste, Olivier Gagnère,
Starck, the Italians Memphis, Rei Kawabuko and the Spanish BD Ediciones de Diseño.
